Mr Tan has extensive experience in the automotive and equipment trade and has been with the Group for over 30 years. He used to oversee the automotive business as well but now focuses on the engineering and distribution businesses of the Group comprising of the applied engineering, distribution, mining and systems integration businesses. It includes opportunities for expansion and acquisitions. He was also Chairman of the Group’s Centennial Organising Committee which put together a year-long programme of activities including fund raising for the less fortunate. Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Singapore and has a Masters of Science degree from the National University of Ireland.
