Yeap Lam Yang Mr Yeap was appointed an Independent and Non-executive Director in August 2007 and was last re-elected in 2008. He was appointed the Chairman of the Audit Committee on 1 August 2009 after serving as a member since August 2007. He is also a member of the Nominating and Remuneration Committees. Mr Yeap currently holds directorships in several companies in Malaysia and Singapore which have interests in properties and investments. Mr Yeap was a Director of Ban Hin Lee Bank Berhad, previously listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and was also the Chief Executive Officer of its Singapore Branch. He was appointed a Director of Southern Bank Berhad (a company now known as SBB Berhad and previously listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad) and the CEO of its Singapore Branch following the merger of these two banks in October 2000. He resigned as CEO of the Singapore Branch of Southern Bank Berhad in September 2006, following the transfer of its banking assets to CIMB Bank, but remained on the board of SBB Berhad till August 2008. Mr Yeap has a BSc (Econs) First Class Honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science. |
