Michael Wong Pakshong

Mr Wong joined the Board in 1990 and was reappointed in 2007 as an Independent and Non-executive Director. He is also the Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.

He is the Chairman of Great Eastern Holdings Ltd, a Director of Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Ltd, The Straits Trading Company Ltd and Bukit Sembawang Estates Ltd.

From 1971 to 1981, he was the Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He was also the Chairman of Neptune Orient Lines Ltd from 1970 to 1984 and of The Esplanade Company Ltd from 1997 to 2003 and Robinson & Company Ltd from 1996 to 2006.

Mr Wong has a BA (Hons) degree and an Hon LLD from the University of Bristol, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Singapore.
